NearMe Video Appointments

Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership

What is NearMe?

NearMe is NHS video calling technology, which allows you to access your appointment with us from the comfort of your own home. You access your NearMe video appointment directly through your web browser, which means you do not need to download any apps. NearMe video calls are secure and your privacy is protected.

Keep scrolling to find out more about accessing your NearMe appointment.

You must have an appointment booked with a therapist at a specific time before you access the NearMe waiting room.

You can access the NearMe waiting room using the following link:

https://nhsattend.vc/achscp/slt

Once you click on this link, you will be prompted to enter a few details. Then, you will enter the NearMe waiting room, where you will hear some music playing. The therapist will see that you have arrived, and they will connect the call.

You can use a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer, provided that it has camera and microphone access.

You can use the latest versions of Chrome, Safari and Edge. You cannot use Internet Explorer.

Using NearMe is free, except for your internet usage.

While you are waiting to be connected to a therapist, NearMe doesn’t use any internet data. Once you are connected, it uses a similar amount to Skype or FaceTime.

Don’t worry. If you are having trouble logging in to your appointment, just give us a call. Go to the Contact Us section of our website for more information, or look for the contact number on your appointment letter or email.

Technical difficulties during NearMe appointments happen from time to time. The most common ones we have come across include loss of sound, poor quality visual display or calls being disconnected.

If anything like this happens in your appointment, just wait for a few moments; the therapist will try to refresh the call. If the therapist can’t refresh the call or the problem persists, we will phone you on the contact number we have for you.
